CHECK IT OUT

Todays subject is Check It Out

I noticed that check it out was displayed with a tick ✅ that looked just like that but what about the person who has always done a tick facing the other way \.- see there is not even a computer symbol for a left handed tick the way I write them and at one time I would have written the title commencing on the right side so that I didn’t smudge the ink and my writing was readable. TUO TI KCEHC but my teacher could not read it I could but she couldn’t so I was not permitted to write in the direction I chose.

Put it this way it was hard being a left handed kid in a right handed world , the were no scissors made for us back then we would get bumped on our arm when writing by the person next to us. Back when I was a child it was almost against the law to be a lefty and many of us were punished for it had our left hand tied behind our backs to force us to conform, bust mostly we could not.

I wonder where the world would be today without us the ones who they couldn’t break. Who they could not force to conform because it was beyond our capabilities we just could not do it. Where would the world be without the left handed artists, inventors,  musicians, philosophers and many brilliant sports people who were left handed.

And I have one piece of information for everyone who has ever used a sewing machine, it is a left handed piece of equipment it was originally made by a left handed man for his own use, if you don’t believe me put your hands on a sewing machine and work out which hand does most of the work, the left one yes that’s correct it’s the left hand . So welcome to our world.

As far as I am concerned this photo is the correct way to write, notice I said the correct way not the right way, I don’t use the word right very much at all spelt RIGHT .

I am so glad that now you are permitted to be left handed they even had left handed scissors!
Our children didn’t go through what their parents did as both Wayne and myself are lefty’s and our oldest two children are , our youngest son always said he was the odd man out because he was the only person in the five of us to use the hand on the other side of his body.
